SEC Baseball Recaps (April 22)

Texas A&M and Kentucky looking for series sweeps on Sunday; Arkansas-Auburn and Missouri-Ole Miss square off in decisive rubber games; South Carolina-Florida and Vanderbilt-Georgia wrap up series on Saturday; Arkansas bounces back with strong bullpen effort to even series at Auburn; JJ Schwarz slams South Carolina for series win; Julian Infante has big weekend in series win at Georgia; Ole Miss out-duels Missouri, despite second straight CG from Tigers.

Bevia Robinson, Kat Moore and Caroline Seitz were a combined 5-for-9 with three runs scored, one home run and two RBIs in Miss. State’s 3-0 win over Arkansas; Alexis Silkwood retired all eight batters she faced for her fifth save of the season and MSU posted its 10th shutout of the year.  Game two of the series is Sunday at 6 p.m. (CT) on SEC Network.

Pensacola RHP Tyler Mahle (Cincinnati Reds, Class AA) tossed a perfect game in a 1-0 win over Mobile at Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile. It was the first nine-inning perfect game in the Southern League since 1970.
