SEC Baseball Recaps (April 29)

Auburn sweeps double header at Miss. State; the Tigers and Bulldogs are tied for first place in SEC standings; seven teams are within 1.5 games of first place; LSU completes sweep with 11-inning win at Alabama; Carlos Cortes homers in Gamecocks win over Kentucky; Florida rallies past Georgia; scored 8 of 12 runs this weekend in final three innings; Tennessee scored nine runs in final two innings to even series in Nashville; Vandy RHP Kyle Wright no-hit the Vols through six innings.

Who’s On First? Auburn first baseman Dylan Ingram and Miss State first baseman Brent Rooker were a combined 9-for-17 (.529) with eight runs scored, two doubles, four home runs and nine RBIs in Saturday’s double header.  Ingram went 3-for-8 with two home runs and six RBIs, including a grand slam in game two.  Rooker fell a triple shy of hitting for the cycle in both games. He went 6-for-9, three runs, two doubles, two home runs and three RBIs in the two games.
