SEC Baseball Recaps (March 13)

sec-baseball-logoSeveral SEC teams beat up on midweek pitching Tuesday night. Seven times a team scored five or more runs in an inning on Tuesday.

Alabama scored eight runs in the first inning and added six more in the fifth in 15-0 mercy rule win over hapless Alabama A&M.

Arkansas jumped on former Southwest Conference rival Texas with seven runs in the third inning en route to the 13-4 win.

Auburn scored five runs in the sixth inning in the win over Georgia Tech.

Florida used a 7-run fifth inning to beat Florida State for the sixth straight time.

Georgia spotted Kennesaw State a 3-0 lead and then scored seven runs in both the second and third innings in the blowout win. Cam Shepherd and Michael Curry both hit grand slams.

On the flip side, UT Arlington and Texas A&M played 17 scoreless innings until the Mavericks broke the game open with  five runs in the 18th inning for the 5-0 win. Continue reading “SEC Baseball Recaps (March 13)”
