Final Game at Tiger Stadium Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Tiger StadiumThe final game at historic Tiger Stadium celebrated its 20th anniversary on Friday, Sept. 27. It’s hard to believe the baseball has been gone from the corner of Michigan and Trumbull for that long.

I saw two games at Tiger Stadium. In 1991, Nolan Ryan won his 315th career game and Kevin Reimer blasted two home runs as the Rangers beat the Tigers. TCU to Play Fall Exhibition at Globe Life Park

Globe Life ParkTCU baseball head coach Jim Schlossnagle announced that the team will head to Arlington, Texas and Globe Life Park for a contest against the Texas Rangers Futures Camp squad. The contest is slated to begin at 6 p.m. on Oct. 1.

The Rangers announced that for the first time a Futures Camp comprised about 40 players will take place at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco from Sunday, September 22-Sunday, October 6. That team will hold workouts in Frisco and will play a series of games against four-year universities and junior colleges located in the Southwest. Wade LeBlanc, Husky Football and Chowder

Safeco Field.JPGSeattle is one of my favorite cities and Husky Stadium is one of college football’s most scenic venues.

While on this trip, I was able to take in the Texas Rangers-Seattle Mariners game at Safeco Field. I had great seats in the club level, thanks to Mariners play-by-play announcer Aaron Goldsmith.
